Haven't posted in a week.. Still doing well on my food :) Eating meat a couple times a week, mostly vegetarian stuff.. LOTS of steamed and sauteed veggies, and salads.
Gym is going well too.. Well, aside from the fact I pulled my lower back on Thursday, so took Friday and Saturday to rest it up, before heading back to the gym today.. I was feeling awful, missing the two days, but I do know it was what my back needed. It's a little "twinge-y" now, but nothing like it was Friday. I think the 5 sets of crunches I did on Thursday was a little much for it.
But my sweetie and I went today and did cardio, It went well :)
For my birthday present from my mother in law, I got some new shoes for the gym :) I am so excited, they are so comfortable and didn't bother my feet at all today when I was on the treadmill.
In two days I will be 49, and I know at my age it's a lot harder to lose the weight I need to, but It IS coming off! I have about 2 pounds till I am at my first "goal"..
One of my friends uses the analogy of sticks of butter.. 4 sticks is one pound. IF my weight loss was butter (it is fat!) I have lost a total so far of 58 sticks of butter.. :) I do have about 200 sticks to go, but I think I am doing well.. I am also building muscles.. my calves, ankles, and arms have NEVER looked this good. :) Ok, well maybe not "never".. But not in a very, very long time...
I am snacking right now on fat free "mock-a-mole" not Guacamole, but made with Cannelini beans, clilantro, jalapeno, lime juice and garlic.. and it is SO awesome :) NO fat.. high protein, very healthy.. I absolutely have never gone "hungry" on this diet.. :)
Off to finish my midnight snack.. read a little in my book, do a few stretches, then off to bed.
